Method
- Gather and prep everything first: all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, eggs and set within reach of the stove.
- Set a wide pan over medium heat and sweat the shallots in a little butter until translucent.
- Add the danish and let it herb-crusted, undisturbed, so it takes on real color before you stir.
- Stir in the bell pepper along with a good pinch of salt, scraping up anything stuck to the bottom of the pan.
- Pour in the coconut milk, bring to a gentle simmer, and cook until thickened and glossy.
- Off the heat, brighten it up with a drizzle of olive oil and a final crack of pepper.
- Plate it up while hot and pass extra at the table.
