Method
- Gather and prep everything first: mixed greens, olive oil, lemon and set within reach of the stove.
- Set a wide pan over medium heat and sweat the fresh ginger in a little butter until translucent.
- Add the chopped and let it slow-cooked, undisturbed, so it takes on real color before you stir.
- Fold in the kosher salt and season generously; give everything a minute to come together.
- Add the crushed tomatoes and let it reduce until it just coats the back of a spoon.
- Off the heat, brighten it up with toasted nuts and a final crack of pepper.
- Plate it up while hot and pass extra at the table.
